How To Tell Somebody They Need Anger Management Part 2: The Four Main Reactions We Are Likely To Get

No-matter how diplomatically we approach this topic, every person is individual and as such will have a different way of dealing with this news. While there is no way of telling how a person -even a close loved one- will take this advice, there are in my experience four main reactions. Preparing for any one of these is essential for keeping calm and not letting the situation become more awkward that it already is. Even if we think, or are convinced we know, the reaction that the person will take, we cannot be 100% sure and as such we should plan for each of the four reactions. Also while some people's reactions may have elements of more than one type of reaction, everybody will portray one of these four types of reaction to a greater or lesser extent.
