Developing Creativity by Assuming the Identity of a Master Artist

Assuming the identity of a master artist requires that you know with some degree of intimacy the lives of certain artists that you admire and have viewed their works. Learning about their lives and ideas will be essential in "borrowing" their creative identity. To foster your creative development as a painter you imagine being that artist. You act out and mime being him before you start to paint. You strongly imagine being that person. Incorporate everything you know about the artist into your personality. Then you actually stand before your canvas and paint as though you were he or she.
